Hailed by the New York Times as "one of the 10 best choreographers in the world,� Lar Lubovitch returns to Philadelphia with two of his company's classic pieces and two Philadelphia premiers – the 2012 Prix Benois de la Danse award-winning Crisis Variations and the 2010 work, The Legend of Ten. Nominated for and International Tony, Emmy, and Grammy and winner of an International Emmy for Fandango, Lubovitch is known for lush choreography that is sophisticated and seamless, imbued with both romantic and classic musical eloquence. Philadelphia performances feature North Star (1978) and Little Rhapsodies (2007) along with the Philadelphia premiers of Crisis Variations (2011) and The Legend of Ten (2010).
