Rat Paws began as a solo party-rock covers band (think Alice Cooper, X, Sonic Youth, etc.)when Eleanor was in college. There were sporadic and mercurial shows throughout the 2010s until she finally got her act together in 2016, when she started writing the songs that would be part of the definitive Rat Paws oeuvre. The songs from this period--sensitive, but with an unquestionable post-punk pedigree--are collected in the album Let's Cool, recorded in 2017 but not released until 2019. Since 2019, she has performed around Seattle and written many more songs, with an upcoming tape release in the works.
