Vivian Philips and Marcie Sillman of Seattle’s DoubleXposure Podcast lead a panel talk with participants of the SAM exhibition, American Art: The Stories We Carry. This dramatic reinstallation of the museum’s American art galleries presents a more expansive vision of the American experience. Theresa Papanickolas, Ann M. Barwick Curator of American Art, led the project along with regional artists, expert community advisors, and emerging museum professionals. Papanikolas will be joined on the panel by project participants Inye Wokoma, co-founder of Wa Na Wari, and Mayumi Tsutakawa, a writer with focus on Asian American history.
The panel talk will be recorded and will air as an episode of the podcast at a later date.
Tickets are free and required for entry. Seating at the event is first come, first-served.
