The SEATTLE PEACE CHORUS presents "Opening Doors to the World Through Song"
Seattle Peace Chorus will perform Opening Doors to the World through Song with guest artist Kent Stevenson.
From the sounds of Pablo Neruda’s poetry sung in his house in Valparaiso Chile, to the song of the festival award sung in Venezuela, we tell of our goodwill travels. We draw upon folkloric repertoire from many diverse sources and classical beauty like Rachmaninov’s “Bogoroditse Djevo” and Verdi’s “Va Pensiero.” “Shosholoza” tells the story of workers taking the train to the South African Gold Mines.
We have travelled near and far and found that our songs do indeed open the doors to the world.
