In the 1980s, Woo won two multi-discrimination cases against UC Berkeley as a socialist feminist, unionist, and out lesbian. Pinay activist Annaliza Torres will connect Woo’s story with the experience of her own family’s organizing of Filipino cannery workers in the Pacific Northwest, both of which hold lessons and inspiration for today.
