Edwards. Professor Allen Edwards was affiliated with the University of Washington Department of Psychology for half of a century, from his arrival in Seattle in 1944 as an Associate Professor to his death in 1994. The theme of this year's talks is "The Transactional Relationship between Mental Health Research and Care."The challenges of the global COVID-19 pandemic have demonstrated the urgent need for expanding the mental health workforce and investing in mental health research and interventions.
