ISSAQUAH COMMONS TO HOST 'PENCILS & PANTS' BACK-TO-SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE
Issaquah Commons, an open-air lifestyle center in Issaquah, Washington (https://www.issaquahcommons.com), together with KidVantage, a nonprofit organization that provides children in need with essential care, safety and health items, will host a “Pencils & Pants” Back-to-School Supply Drive on Thursday, August 13th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Community members are invited to donate new school supplies and new or gently used school clothing to help local children prepare for the upcoming school year. Donations will be accepted at the KidVantage van located in the parking lot near Athleta and Chico's. Requested school supply donations include markers, erasers, pocket folders, blunt and pointed scissors, college- and wide-ruled filler paper, colored pencils, dry erase markers, index cards, and college- and wide-ruled notebooks and composition books. Requested clothing donations include jeans, sweatpants, leggings, long-sleeved shirts, pajamas, sweatshirts and shoes in children's sizes, particularly toddler through preteen sizes.
