ISSAQUAH COMMONS TO HOLD BACK-TO-SCHOOL DRIVE
Issaquah Commons, an open-air lifestyle center in Issaquah, Washington, (https://www.issaquahcommons.com), together with KidVantage, an organization dedicated to providing essential care, safety, and health goods for children in need, will host a “Pencils and Pants” back-to-school clothing and supplies drive on Thursday, August 15th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. During the drive, KidVantage will collect new school supplies, including college and wide-ruled lined paper (loose leaf and spiral bound), graph paper, glue sticks, erasers, pencil sharpeners, colored pencils, crayon boxes, marker boxes, and backpacks. New or gently used school clothing is also requested; some of the items most needed are jeans for boys and girls, underwear for boys and girls, long-sleeved shirts for boys, and sweatpants for boys and girls, all in children’s sizes 5 to 14. Additional items requested include sneakers in sizes 7 to13 (children) and 1 to 6 (adult). Donations will be accepted at the KidVantage van in the parking lot near Athleta and Chico’s.
