Antonia Kuo and Mark Johnson in Conversation
In honor of the opening of "Twilight Child: Antonia Kuo and Martin Wong," join us for a conversation investigating the ties that bond these two artists born over forty years apart. Moderated by Associate Curator Georgia Erger, exhibiting Artist Antonia Kuo will be joined by Mark Johnson, Professor Emeritus of Art at San Francisco State University and contemporary colleague of Wong’s. The conversation will begin with a deep dive into the two artists’ bodies of work before dissecting the lasting impact of Wong’s influence on Kuo’s practice, uncovering unique formal and thematic overlaps on view in the exhibition.
