Ingvar! A Musical Furniture Saga
“Ingvar! A Musical Furniture Saga” is a fantastical musical about the life and times of IKEA founder, Ingvar Kamprad. A group of stockbrokers gather to tell Kamprad’s life and legend – from a poor boy in Småland to the leader of a global furniture empire. As Kamprad’s story builds, the lines of admiration and resentment begin to blur, leading the ensemble to question their own roles in a capitalist society. This pop opera features music in a variety of folk and contemporary styles – there’s singing, there’s dancing and there’s actors dressed up as furniture!
