Chinese has a long history of serving plant-based dishes due to cultural and religious beliefs. Join Elaine Sher from Dash of Soy to experience cooking with some of the lesser-known Chinese pantry items that will elevate your repertoire of vegan dishes.
In this hands-on class, Elaine will teach you all the secrets to prepare "meaty" braised shiitake mushrooms; a sizzling "hot oil finishing" technique that will round out spicy steamed tofu; and how to man a wok for umami-packed stir-fried lettuce with fermented tofu sauce.
Class is limited to 11 people and is hands-on. Includes dinner.
