Lightning struck, fire burned, humans intervened, and Agua Caliente Park continues to be a haven for wildlife. Come see After the Fire: Wildlife Drawings & True Stories created by Beth Surdut. Exhibit is free at the Ranch House Gallery, Wed-Sunday, 10 am-2pm. Explore our local critters finely illustrated on live-edge linden wood and paper, accompanied by true stories that foster our integrated place in nature. Award-winning artist, writer, and radio commentator Beth Surdut, creator of the multi-platform nature series The Art of Paying Attention, and Listening to Raven drawings and stories, is a certified Environmental Educator who combines storytelling, visual art, and science to observe and understand the creatures with whom we share our lives. Using her illustrated nature stories as teaching tools, Surdut gives talks and facilitates outdoor Paying Attention workshops in the desert.
