Steins Up, Sarasota! Oktoberfest Comes to The Bazaar
This funky, family-friendly Oktoberfest celebration will feature:
* 🎶 Live Polka Music – Dance to the joyful sounds of traditional polka performed live!
* 💃 Free Polka Dance Lesson at 11:30am – Always wanted to learn? Now’s your chance! Our instructor, Sonia, will guide you through the steps so you can join in the fun.
* 🍺 Steinholding Competition at 1pm – Test your strength (and endurance!) in this classic Oktoberfest challenge. Who can hold their stein the longest? The winner will receive a 3 month unlimited membership to Jefferson Fit. All participants will receive a one day Jefferson Fit pass to try out the gym with a class, cold plunge, red light sauna, and so much more!
* 🎤 Yodeling Fun at 2pm– Warm up those vocal cords and give your best yodel—whether you’re a natural or just brave enough to try, it’s guaranteed to get the crowd cheering.
And of course, no celebration is complete without food and drink! Guests can enjoy delicious eats from Hamlet’s Eatery, alongside local brews and seasonal specialties to keep the Oktoberfest spirit alive.
“This isn’t your average Oktoberfest—we’re putting The Bazaar’s funky twist on it,” said Bazaar owner Kim Livengood. “It’s all about community, laughter, and letting loose. Whether you’re competing in the steinholding contest, learning your first polka step, or just here for the yodels, there’s something for everyone.”
