The SRQ NYE Pineapple Drop Block Party, hosted by the Sarasota Downtown Merchants on Sunday from 1 pm - 1 am, features DJs, live music including 22N dance band (8 pm) and country artist Chas Collins (9 pm), the annual Pineapple Drop at midnight, and a spectacular fireworks display over Sarasota Bay. Event admission is free. Unlimited ride wristbands (valid all day Saturday and till 6 pm on Sunday) are $30 online before 3 pm Sunday or $35 on site while supplies last.
