Nels Matson of Bradenton, Florida will attempt to break the World Record for the fastest run across America, from San Francisco City Hall to New York City Hall in less than 42 days or less. He will attempt to run a record-breaking pace averaging greater than 72 miles per day starting on September 8th, 2024. The goal of “Project Campbell’s Call” is to encourage donations to Wounded Warrior Project ® (WWP), answering the call to action fallen U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Campbell left behind.
Kick-off meet & greet for Nels Matson’s transcontinental world record run attempt, with guest speaker from U.S. Army Veteran and wounded warrior Danielle Green. Guests will be able to talk with support crew members; enjoy festive food, timeless tunes, and raffles; and hear stories of the nation’s military veterans through Wounded Warrior Project. The event is sponsored by New Balance University with generous support from Brewed Monday Coffee, Kristin's Cookie Chronicles, and More than Music Mobile Disc Jockeys. Wounded Warrior Project Warriors Speak® spokesperson Danielle Green will be attending and speaking at 5:00 p.m.
