Monday Night Jazz presents the James Suggs Quartet
One of the finest jazz trumpeters in the Bay area, James Suggs, is from Harrisburg, PA. Suggs earned his music degrees at Youngtown State U and USF Tampa. At the age of 16, Suggs began playing professionally in northeast Ohio and later toured with the Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey Orchestras. Much in demand in the area, he has performed with Houston Person, Ken Peplowski, John Lamb, La Lucha and others. Suggs created and performed critically acclaimed tribute shows to Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis and Harry James. His initial CD, You’re Gonna Hear From Me, has received rave reviews from critics.
