Coffee & Conservation - Featuring Save the Manatee Club Speaker Dr. Beth Brady
SUP Englewood is proud to introduce our monthly "Coffee & Conservation" series, hosted at the Englewood Chamber of Commerce. This series will bring together community members, eco-tour providers, and local business owners to learn about preserving our beloved coastal ecosystems, starting with manatee conservation.
The first event in the series will feature Dr. Beth Brady, a leader in manatee conservation and an expert on manatee vocalization. Dr. Brady, who holds a PhD in manatee vocalization, will share fascinating insights into her research on manatee communication, their habits, and how we can protect their fragile populations. She will also explain how eco-tour providers and local businesses can get involved through programs like the Guardian Guide Program, offering practical ways to contribute to conservation efforts.
What to Expect:
* Enjoy complimentary coffee, iced coffee, and pastries provided by The Dearborn Coffeehouse & Bakery (Joe Maxx).
* A 60-minute presentation by Dr. Brady followed by a Q&A session, where attendees can ask questions about manatee conservation, local efforts to protect manatees, and ways to get involved.
* Networking opportunities with like-minded community members and local eco-businesses, all while supporting the cause of conservation.

Eco-tour providers and outdoor businesses, such as kayak rental companies, paddle boarding outfitters, and boat tour operators who wish to learn more about how their activities can support conservation.
