Joy of Jazz with the Rich Thompson Trio under the Centennial Park Gazebo, Venice
On Sunday March 10, enjoy an afternoon of jazz at the Gazebo in Centennial Park, Venice. This is a FREE concert co-sponsored by the Gulf Coast Community Foundation and the Jazz Club of Sarasota. Bring chairs for seating and sun screen for this outdoor event. Entertainment features drummer Rich Thompson from Rochester, NY. The Boston Globe cited Rich as “the drummer who drove the Basie sound” when he appeared with them at the Boston Jazz and Blues Festival. Concert begins at 2 pm in Centennial Park, 200 W. Venice Ave, Venice, FL. Event benefits the scholarship program of the Jazz Club of Sarasota.
