Arts Advocates Member Artist Show: Lynn Armstrong Coffin "Full Circle"

Lynn Armstrong Coffin received her B.F.A. in illustration and graphic design from the University of Georgia and began a diverse career in advertising. She has written and illustrated children’s books and sculpted political figures and now has turned her skills to the world of contemporary art.
The circle symbol in her latest works is used as a profound metaphor of the cyclical journey of life and our place in it. The circle always returns upon itself and is a strong graphic reminder that our actions today will have repercussions in the future. With this in mind, and being concerned about the environment, she challenges herself to recycle and use discarded materials whenever possible. Experimenting with everything from cardboard and plaster to cast-off building materials, the resulting artwork is always creative and unique.
The artist’s reception will take place on Saturday, March 9, from 2-4 pm. Lynn will be at the gallery every Saturday in March from 2-4pm.
