View Jana Millstone’s otherworldly machine paintings, humorously subversive constructed paintings, odes to our fleeting natural world, and poetic textile works. She uses a variety of stylistic approaches to explore themes of power, inequity, and transition, both in the microcosm of family and as metaphor for society at large.
A graduate of Pratt Institute with studies at Parsons School of Design, The Art Students League, and F.I.T., New York exhibits include Brooks Jackson Iolas Gallery, Porter Contemporary, Site-Brooklyn, as well as Susquehanna Museum of Art, PA. Her work is in collections throughout the United States. Notable awards include N.Y. Society of Illustrators scholarship, the statewide Florida’s Finest first prize, and Halo Arts Project Fellowship 2021. Jana is a member of: Women Contemporary Artists (WCA), National League of American Pen Women (NLAPW), and Petticoat Painters.
