Aimee Jones is a visual artist and educator currently working in St. Petersburg, Florida. She earned her BS in Advertising at Texas State University and earned her MFA and Graduate Certification in Women and Gender Studies at the University of South Florida. Her specialty is painting the human figure transformed in both domestic and botanical landscapes while researching feminist theory and invasive plant species. In her exhibition, Of Mementos and Fetishes, Aimee investigates themes of desire and consumption of the female body in the form of collectible and domestic objects.
