ACE – The Amazing American Musical, Part 4-Glenridge
From the 1990’s to today, a lot has gone on in the world of Musical Theater, and some of the best of it will be included in Part 4 of our Amazing Story. Continuing their outstanding careers are Sondheim, Kander and Ebb, Webber, etc., and coming into focus are dozens of revivals, some of them better than the original productions. Jonathan Larson forces tears and Mel Brooks insists on laughter; and then we encounter the “Corporate” productions, like Disney’s Lion King and Beauty and the Beast and the Jukeboxers—Mamma Mia! Jersey Boys! Elton John and Billy Joel have their moments, and in roars The Book of Mormon, Hamilton, Come From Away, and Hadestown. Join us for more enlightenment and fun!
