ACE - Sketch Comedy for Everyone
This class is an introduction to the basics of writing sketch comedy in the style of Saturday Night Live, MadTV, or The Daily Show. Students will be introduced to exercises and workflows to help with brainstorming on a topic, pitching ideas, writing a first draft, working with a collaborator, and delivering a final draft. The goal is to help students turn a nugget of an idea into a comedic sketch ranging in length from 10 seconds to five minutes.
