ACE - Latin Dance Club: Salsa 102 (Prereq: Salsa 101) (Registering w/ partner recommended)
Salsa, the Queen of the Latin dances is back to continue making you move your hips while you count on "1 2 3, 5 6 7", getting into more detail, fun, and intricate patterns for this level. Salsa is a popular form of social dance that originated in New York with strong influences from Latin America, particularly Cuba and Puerto Rico. The word 'salsa' literally means 'sauce'; usually hot and spicy, and that's how you would describe salsa dance.
Level 2 is a continuation for students who have completed Level 1 or possess a good understanding of the basic patterns of Salsa. New steps and turn patterns will be introduced and linked together to develop new and more challenging combinations to add to an already existing dance repertoire.
Bring proper shoes (no flip flops or sandals, no backless shoes, no rubber soles - those don't perform well on our dance floor), hand towel, bottle of water; Ladies can wear low heels and gentlemen can wear dress shoes if desired.
