ACE - Handbuilding, Intermediate/Advanced
Continue your study of handbuilding techniques in clay to fine tune your techniques. This class will explore many methods, emphasize design, and encourage creativity. Projects are individual and instruction is on a personal basis as the student works. Instruction is provided for each project the student desires to work on.
Class includes up to 25 lbs. of clay. Additional clay is available for purchase. All clay and glazes mut be provided by ACE (no outside clay or glazes allowed).
ACE is a teaching pottery studio, not a production studio. The firing schedule and quantities are controlled by the Lab Technician.
Supply list: (Supplies available at craft stores: Michaels, Art & Frame & Amazon)
Basic pottery Kit: fettling knife, pin tool, sponge, wooden angled knife, metal rib, two various sizes ribbon trim tools; Apron, towel, plastic bags, soft hair watercolor brushes a few sizes 12, 6, 1 , hake brush 1", sumi brush, pencil, sketch note book, there will be other things used working with clay that can be gotten at students discretion and depending on projects.
