Willkommen! You hear it all the time: Don´t worry, everybody in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland speaks English. You´ll get along just fine without any German. But you know better. Not everyone in the German-speaking part of Europe actually does speak English. And have you already had the embarrassment of traveling a country without knowing a word of the national language? Think about the completely new experiences that are available to you if you can talk to the locals in their own language and understand the basics about their culture and habits. This course aims to enable you to communicate and mingle in basic German and overcome the language barrier. Learn some basic travel phrases before you go on your trip and communicate in a number of tourist matters, like • Meeting people • Asking questions • Money and numbers • Mail and telephone • Dining out • Time and calendar • Shopping and sightseeing • Hotels and transportation • Emergencies This is a very interactive class. In a fun way, you will learn how to get around in Germany. You will also be introduced to interesting aspects of the culture and get an insight into the German mentality. Moreover, you will find out how Germans live, eat, drink, and celebrate. Willkommen!
