Inter|Act Spoken Word Open Mic with Featured Poet Nikia Chaney: April 16, 7-9 PM
Are you ready to get your poetry on? Join us on April 16, 2024 at Satori Arts for ‘Inter|Act,’ a FREE spoken word open mic night, from 7-9 pm, with featured poet Nikia Chaney.
Nikia Chaney is a multi-genre author and artist who loves all things words and books. She has published two poetry books, To Stir & (Word Works, 2023) and us mouth (University of Hell Press, 2018), a memoir, Ladybug (Inlandia, 2022), and a short volume of science fiction, Three Walking (Bamboo Dart, 2021). Highly active in the community, she is the co-founder of Jamii Publishing. She has served as Inlandia's Literary Lareaute (2016-2018). In 2023, she won the California Arts Council Established Artist fellowship. She teaches in Santa Cruz.Â
