Painting with Oils and Acrylics - with Toaa Dallo

Do you love the richness and versatility of oils and acrylics? This class is for you. We will explore both the technical skills and the creative aspects of these great painting media, with an emphasis on fun. This four-week class runs on Wednesday afternoons from 1pm - 4pm. Dates: May 28 - June 18 This class is great for artists at any level, from beginners who want help getting started, to experienced artists looking to refine their work. We will use the Basic Shapes Method to emphasize the simplification of forms, and you will learn lots of tricks, shortcuts, and time-honored techniques for creating beautiful, colorful, expressive paintings. We will talk about all the key issues of painting and art-making, and each session will emphasize fundamental concepts, including color and composition, perspective and depth, brushwork techniques, artistic style and storytelling. Oils and acrylics give artists the flexibility to achieve different moods and styles. And they’re great for any subject, so you can paint whatever inspires you. Landscapes, portraits, still life, figurative or abstract — the choice is yours! We will have lots of interesting images for you to choose from, and you can also bring pictures of your own to paint.
