Natalie Haas is one of the most sought after cellists playing traditional music today. She and Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser have toured as a duo for over twenty years, wowing audiences at festivals and concerts worldwide with their unique sound. Brittany Haas is widely regarded as one of the most influential fiddlers of her generation; she developed her unique style of fiddling at the influence of her mentors, Bruce Molsky and Darol Anger, with whom she started touring and recording at 13. Lena Jonsson’s ability to balance a deep knowledge of traditional Swedish folk music with her innovative artistic sensibilities, sparkling joy of life and the charisma of a rock-star have made her one Scandinavia’s most visionary musicians. Together, this trio of masters transports audiences on a cultural fiddling journey that will knock your socks off.
Doors open at 6:30pm at the Resource Center for Nonviolence, with the concert starting at 7:00pm. Discounts available for college students and kids under 18. More information at CommunityMusicSchool.org.
