The UC Master Gardeners demonstration garden was established to provide hands-on community education for sustainable gardening practices. Helping people grow their own food is a priority and demonstration gardens where you can see, first hand, how and what to grow in your own backyard help preserve the biodiversity of our communities and state.
Our volunteers provide Earth-friendly gardening advice for creating sustainable landscapes that benefit the broader environment and make things easier for the home gardener. The Pinto Lake Demonstration and Teaching Garden will allow us to inspire many more families and members of our community to create sustainable landscapes that benefit the broader environment.
We envision a world of empowered communities committed to sustainable and responsible gardening. To make this vision a reality, we model, demonstrate, and advocate accessible and research-based best practices for home gardeners. As ethical leaders, we grow, cultivate, and nurture our plants, our members, and our diverse neighborhoods with care, compassion, integrity, and respect, with the goal of creating a healthier society and planet.
Our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place at 12:00 PM.
This family-friendly event will feature food, music, demonstrations, plant sale, children's activities and more.
