Informance by Saint Michael Trio

Using his epoch-making E-flat Major Piano Quartet, Saint Mike will unpack Schumann’s compositional devices and identify his musical DNA. They will also place the composer in the context of his time and circumstances, from his celebrity marriage to Clara Wieck (“the belle of Europe”), to his ruinous experimentation with skeletal-muscular therapy, to his ultimate unraveling at the age of 46.
