21st Annual New Year’s Eve Interfaith Vigil for Peace
Silence on New Year’s Eve may sound like a contradiction, but as 2024 comes to an end in a war-torn world, that is just what a large and diverse group of faithful people plan to do again this year.
Everyone is invited to join with people of different faiths and many who claim no affiliation with an organized religion for an evening of quiet, meditation, and walking the labyrinth. It will be the 21st Annual Interfaith Vigil for Peace sponsored by Sangha Shantivanam and hosted by Holy Cross Church.
Beginning at 7:30 pm in the parish hall at Holy Cross, there will be several brief periods of meditation interspersed with prayers from universal wisdom traditions. You are welcome to join us for any time during the evening. Admission is free, and donations will benefit Siena House and Birth Network of Santa Cruz County, local organizations that support mothers and babies.
