Connecting with the Forest
A growing body of research confirms that nature plays an important role in enhancing our wellness, creativity, and joy. In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll use your five senses to become more present, reduce your stress level, and tap into your creativity while having fun.
Activities will include creating sound maps of the forest and capturing images of the special features of Henry Cowell. Bring your digital camera (or phone camera) if you have one.
This is an experiential program that includes about a mile and a half of easy walking on mostly level surfaces. Be prepared to slow down and spend some time tuning in to the natural world.
Group size is limited, ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Meet on the deck outside the Nature Store in the day use area of Henry Cowell. Those who register will receive more detailed directions and information via email.
