People of San Lorenzo Valley have been through a lot since December.
Wind and deluge, flooding, mudslides, fallen trees, blocked roads, damaged homes and power outages for weeks on end. Neighborhoods are still repairing major damage and putting up with snarled traffic. Yet we are “SLV Strong,” resourceful and resilient. Many have stepped up to the plate with novel solutions and a helping hand.
Let’s swap ideas and talk about what’s working.
Let’s share information about recovery resources.
The San Lorenzo Valley Emergency Network (SLVEN) is hosting a virtual meeting on Tuesday March 28th to share challenges, stories, and more.
Hear how Felton Grove managed through flooding.
Hear how social media was used to keep road closure information timely and accurate.
Learn how MURS radios can be used to keep neighborhoods connected
Learn where to turn when a private road gets damaged or washed out
SLVEN is an educational nonprofit. Information and meeting access can be found at www.slven.org.
