Join us on Friday, October 4th, at 7 PM for an evening of side-splitting comedy as El Vaquero Winery stages its comedy comeback with Three 800 Pound Gorillas of Comedy. This unforgettable night kicks off with Richard Stockton, Santa Cruz’s own comedy troubadour, who will open the show with his signature musical and socio-political wit, alongside his unique and skewed take on the empowerment movement. His brilliant, timely material will have you laughing twice as hard with his between-the-jokes commentary.
Following Richard, get ready for the brilliant deadpan humor of Phil Griffiths, and the hysterical mania of Michael Meehan.
Michael Meehan is a veteran of surrealist stand-up comedy, boasting a career that spans over 35 years. He’s appeared on numerous television shows and films, including The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Last Comic Standing, and has even opened for the legendary Robin Williams.
Phil Griffiths approaches his midlife crisis with humor, as his wife rates his stand-up comedy career better than a drug habit but worse than having a mistress. Known for his dry, deadpan delivery, Phil shares quirky observations about life that leave audiences in stitches. He’s headlined at the San Francisco Punchline and produces the popular Bay Area showcase, Comedy Sharks.
