48th San Francisco Comedy Competition with Tony Camin
The 48th San Francisco Comedy Competition heads to the Crows Nest in Santa Cruz. The Crows Nest has earned a reputation of being a very notorious venue. It’s close to the water which is good because someone might sleep with the fishes tonight.
As a final night at the competition. Some comics are giving it their all for a chance to break into the Semifinals. Some kick back and enjoy themselves. Some of them have snap sets where all the stress of the week comes out, but the audience enjoys it either way.
It’s a fantastic show and not one to miss. This is also one of the only opportunities to see all 30 comics in one venue.
We have 15 comics on the bill. Five advance to the Semifinals. The rest go home.
The host for the show is former Comedy Competition is Tony Camin. He is also a co-creator and performer of the hit off-Broadway play and Crown Paperback book The Marijuana-Logues.
The San Francisco Comedy Competition is one of the most prestigious comedy events in North America, launching the careers of people like Patton Oswalt, Robin Williams and Ellen DeGeneres. It’s an outrageously funny evening, where you will see the comedy stars of tomorrow competing for their chance at fame and fortune. Hundreds of comedians audition each year to compete. Only 32 are chosen.
