OLLI at UCSC Hosts Professor Lora Bartlett
Santa Cruz, CA - The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at UCSC (OLLI at UCSC) invites the public to an in-person presentation from 10:00 to noon Sunday, April 21, at Colleges Nine/Lewis Multipurpose Room, UCSC.
Join us for a social hour followed by a presentation entitled “Going the Distance: The Teaching Profession in a post-COVID World”. Lora Bartlett is an Associate Professor of Education at UCSC. Professor Bartlett has noted that many K-12 schools are meeting their teacher requirements through intensive international recruitment, particularly from the Philippines. She will provide an informed perspective on the current state of the teaching profession.
OLLI at UCSC is a community of adults from diverse educational, occupational and geographic backgrounds who are devoted to the pursuit of learning.
