Lunar New Year Party with Gene Luen Yang and LeUyen Pham
Linden Tree is excited to welcome award-winning authors Gene Luen Yang and LeUyen Pham on Friday, February 9 at 6pm at All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Palo Alto for a Lunar New Year party to celebrate their fantastic new graphic novel, Lunar New Year Love Story, a heartwarming rom-com graphic novel about fate, family, forgiveness, and lion dancing!
This event will be held at All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Palo Alto. It will include a public signing and time for audience Q&A, as well as appetizers from local restaurant, Tai Pan.
Each ticket includes one copy of Lunar New Year Love Story. Additional copies of Lunar New Year Love Story, as well as Gene and LeUyen’s other books, will be available for purchase at the event, as well as at our store. You don't need to print your order confirmation; we will check names at the door.
As the Library of Congress’s fifth National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, Gene Luen Yang advocates for the importance of reading, especially reading diversely. His graphic novel American Born Chinese has been adapted into a streaming series on Disney+. His other graphic novels include the two-volume Boxers & Saints and his memoir Dragon Hoops.
LeUyen Pham has illustrated more than one hundred books for children, including the Caldecott Honor book Bear Came Along by Richard T. Morris and the bestselling Princess in Black series by Shannon and Dean Hale. She is the cocreator, along with Shannon Hale, of the bestselling series Real Friends. Her own books include The Bear Who Wasn't There and Big Sister, Little Sister.
