Youth Artisan Faire

The Downtown Felton Association and Ethel & Sabel are thrilled to present the first-ever Youth Artisan Faire on September 22 from 10 AM to 2 PM. This unique event is designed to spotlight the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of local students in grades 7-12, offering them a platform to showcase and sell their handmade goods. Whether it’s handcrafted jewelry, baked treats, original artwork, or any other creative projects, this faire is a fantastic opportunity for young makers to earn money, gain real-world business experience, and connect with their community. The event will be held in the back parking lot shared by Ethel & Sabel and Redwood Pizza in Felton. Participation is open to middle and high school students, with vendor spaces available for just $20. All proceeds from sales go directly to the young artisans. The faire is ideal for students who are looking to fund future activities, save for a special purchase, or simply test out their small business ideas. The Youth Artisan Faire is more than just a sales event—it’s a celebration of local talent and creativity. By participating, students will gain valuable experience in entrepreneurship, marketing, and customer engagement. They’ll also have the chance to build confidence in their skills, develop networking abilities, and learn the ins and outs of running a small business in a supportive environment. Community members are warmly invited to attend the faire, explore the various booths, and support these young artisans. Shoppers can expect to find a wide variety of unique, handmade items, perfect for gifting or simply treating themselves. The event is family-friendly and provides a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning while contributing to the growth and success of local youth. “We’re really excited to see what our local students will bring to the table,” said Christy Shults, Director of the Downtown Felton Association. “There’s so much creativity in our community, and this event gives young people the chance to turn their passions into something more while also bringing our community closer together.” Spaces are limited, so students interested in participating should sign up early at www.downtownfelton.com to reserve a spot. The event is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to come out, support these young creators, and discover the talent thriving in our local schools.
