Meet and speak with the artists, who include gallerists and. multimedia creators Rica Smith de la Luz and Joseph Jason Santiago LaCour.
Rica will feature her newest series of painted Panama hats, to spice up your summer attire, Jason will create the vibe with Spoken Word Poetry and music featuring guest vocalist Gina René. There is sure to be a surprise or 3 in store.
About the Sat Workshop:
SARANKARACOLLAGE workshops invite participants to explore their internal artistic dreams through beautiful, vibrant African fabrics. Utilizing up-cycled materials as backings, participants are provided with randomly selected pieces of fabric as well as other materials needed to realize their Visions of collage. There are no right or wrong ways to create; thereby opening doors and windows to our most creative selves to be free.
Your donation will help support the facilities that house the workshop as well as cover costs of materials. You can keep whatever you make. It is my hope that you will feel inspired to do more.
I can guarantee that you will never look at a piece of cardboard the same, again. Instead, you will see every blank surface as a canvas to explore.
