What if your favorite childhood toys came to life—and took you on an unforgettable adventure through San Francisco?
When Clara and her brother Fritz discover that their beloved childhood toys, the Nutcracker (Sheriff Johnny Cashew) and Sugar Plum Barbie, are headed for the donation bin, they sneak downstairs to rescue them. A little holiday magic from their mischievous Uncle Dross does have unexpected consequences: Clara and Fritz are magically shrunk and transported into a larger-than-life world where their toys are suddenly very much alive!
Their journey takes them from the Wild West of the Cow Palace to a mysterious mechanical arcade, where they encounter dancing rats, a magical Pinball Wizard, cable cars, Barbies, Kens, and plenty of surprises along the way. With the help of their newfound friends—and the audience—they must find their way home.
Along the adventure, Clara learns that being yourself matters more than keeping up with the latest trends, while Fritz discovers that he doesn't have to be perfect or hide his feelings. Even Sugar Plum Barbie and the Nutcracker discover that confidence doesn't come from being unique or fearless—it comes from knowing who you are and having friends who believe in you.
Filled with beloved music, playful humor, San Francisco landmarks, and larger-than-life characters, the Dance-Along Nutcracker® 2026 is a joyful holiday adventure about friendship, imagination, and remembering that the things—and people—we love never really go out of style.
