On June 22nd, step into the harmolodic universe of Ornette Coleman at Wyldflowr Arts for an unforgettable afternoon of bold, boundary-pushing music. Led by the incomparable Dr. Nora Free (whose 2015 dissertation on Coleman's work cemented her as a leading voice in the study of his music) this tribute brings together some of the Bay Area’s most fearless experimental improvisors.

Between selections, Dr. Free will discuss Ornette’s ever-evolving sound, radical musical philosophy, and the profound cultural impact of his work in the late 20th century.
