Greg Roensch & Jules Leyhe

$25 Same price online and at the door. Doors at 7:30pm. Show from 8:15-10:30pm with one intermission Greg Roensch “I feel the work of Greg Roensch is inspiring, and it inspires one to think and sing along, maybe not out loud, but inward, in our own holy chorus, one where our inner angels and demons sing together in raptured disharmony.” – IndiePulse Music Greg Roensch is a singer-songwriter, flash fiction and poetry writer, and maker of short poetry films. Greg has recorded four original albums, including “In the Still of the Apocalypse” and “What’s in the Meaning of That Cloud in the Sky.” He’s also the author of two collections of short, short stories. And his flash fiction has appeared in Dream Noir, 365 Tomorrows, Defiant Scribe, Potato Soup Journal, and elsewhere. Greg’s poetry films have been official selections at many film festivals, including the Absurd Art House Film Festival, the San Francisco Short Film Festival, and the Another Hole in the Head Film Festival. He’s currently promoting two new poetry films, “Giant Rock” and “This Is Where We’ll Build the Labyrinth.” Learn more at www.gregroensch.com. Guitarist Jules Leyhe is on an entirely different trip, juxtaposing futuristic elements with down-home tones. Leyhe has performed with Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, Jimmy Vivino, and Fantastic Negrito, played the National Anthem at the Oakland Coliseum, and been featured in Guitar Player, Premier Guitar, and Vintage Guitar. Leyhe’s recent album “Your First Rodeo” is a whimsical mashup of blues, hip-hop, fusion, rock, and Latin music. The Berklee grad conceived and constructed the album using vivid fantasy that pairs signature elements from diametrically opposed artists. Picture Duane Allman jamming with jazz piano great Gil Evans, or Jimi Hendrix playing in Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The Family Jules Band (featuring saxophonist Nancy Wright, keyboardist Ian McArdle, and drummer Isaac Schwartz) brings a funky jazz flavor to Leyhe’s fantastical vision.
