Lake Chalet in Oakland to Host Brown Estate Wine Dinner

Lake Chalet Seafood Bar & Grill in Oakland will host a Brown Estate Wine Dinner on Wednesday, November 8 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. Tickets are priced at $110.00 and diners will be able to enjoy a five-course meal by Executive Chef Ray Wurtz expertly paired with Brown Estate’s and House of Brown’s award-winning wines. The evening will begin with a Spinach Bacon Frittata and Crispy Willapa Bay Oyster with sherry aioli paired with a 2022 House of Brown Rosé. The next course will be Lobster Bisque and a Tarragon Lobster Salad with avocado and a chive butter drizzle with a 2021 House of Brown Chardonnay followed by Sweet Paprika Seared Sea Bass on hand pulled pappardelle with saffron butter cream and English peas, and a 2021 House of Brown Red Blend. Next up will be Creekstone Beef Short Rib Moussaka and grilled garlic flatbread with a glass of 2020 Brown Estate Chaos Theory Red Blend. Dessert will be a Rose Poached Pear Frangipane Tart with toasted almond and cinnamon ice cream paired with House of Brown Duppy Conqueror North Coast Brut Rosé. Brown Estate is Napa Valley's first Black-owned estate winery. For more than twenty-five years the brand has appealed to a diverse clientele and a second label, House of Brown, was created in 2018 to expand access to their offerings.
