Papercosm by Asaki Oda
The Compound Gallery is excited to present Papercosm, new works by Asaki Oda. The show opens on Saturday, July 11 with a reception from 6-9pm featuring snacks and libations and runs Thursdays-Sundays through Sunday, August 30.
Asaki works primarily with gathered, reused, and recycled materials, including cardboard from shoe boxes and crumpled kraft paper from shipping packages. She finds joy in exploring the possibilities of transforming those materials into sculptural illustrations of life in natural habitats.
