Don't miss the Friends of the Oakland Public Library's big annual Spring Book Sale! Members of the Friends of the OPL save 50% on purchases on the first day of the sale on Friday, April 28. All shoppers receive a discount of 30% on Saturday, April 29 and 50% on Sunday, April 30.
Discounts apply to already low prices of $3 to $10 for most of the 17,000 items in the store (limited exclusions apply). The Bookmark features gently used and donated books of general interest, CDs, LPs, comics, puzzles, and a selection of collectible books.
Membership can be purchased online at www.fopl.org/get-involved or in the store on the day of the sale ($25 per year, $15 for seniors and full-time students) to receive the member discount.
The Bookmark Bookstore, located at 721 Washington Street in Old Oakland, is convenient to AC Transit and BART (12th Street station). The store will be open 10:30 am to 5:30 pm each day during the sale. For more information, call (510) 444-0473.
