Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame Reception & Induction Ceremony
The Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame will induct its latest group of honorees on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the San Mateo County History Museum at 2200 Broadway in Redwood City.
These are the six honorees:
• Chuck Bommarito: Crestmoor High School, California state prep sprint champion
• Henry Caruso: Serra High School, U.S. national 3 – on -3 basketball team member
• Paul Fanaika: Mills High School, National Football League offensive linemen
• Rachelle McCann Henley: El Camino High School, softball and baseball player /promoter
• Alexandra Sickinger Oglesby: Oceana High School, baseball player/promoter
• Doug Williams: Carlmont High School and College of San Mateo, baseball player/coach
The Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame, founded in 1989, honors accomplished San Mateo County and Palo Alto sports figures. The Hall of Fame’s 300 plaques are displayed at the museum.
All proceeds will benefit the work of the San Mateo County Historical Association which oversees the museum and its various activities.
Tickets are $20-$35.
