Safe Words Queer Comedy Showcase, Jalisa Robinson
Join us at the Safe Words Comedy Showcase, a premier monthly queer comedy event in San Francisco. Set in the vibrant heart of SF Eagle Bar, within the iconic Leather Cultural District, Safe Words is a celebration of queer hilarity, inclusivity, and unity. This event aims to be a beacon for queer and gay comedy, offering a platform for both established and emerging queer comedians to shine.
This month we’ve got headliner Jalisa Robinson. Jalisa is no stranger to the Safe Words stage, and she has blown away audiences every single time. With her distinct style—melding deadpan delivery with sparkling insights—Jalisa expertly dissects topics like race and the patriarchy, making her performances both thought-provoking and thoroughly entertaining.
She’s also making waves beyond our stage; this early May, Jalisa was featured in the prestigious "Netflix is a Joke" festival, a testament to her rising star in the comedy world. Her experience includes opening for comedians like Hannibal Burress and regular appearances at major venues such as the San Francisco Punchline and Rooster T. Feathers.
We’ll also be showcasing the comedic talents of Ted Donatelli, Justin Lucas, Wonder Dave and special guest Evan Jade Harris!
