An Evening with Madeleine Peyroux
Join us for an evening with award winning jazz singer and songwriter Madeleine Peyroux.
Peyroux’s dusky voice has been likened to that of Jazz greats Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald. She spent her teenage years busking the busy streets of Paris and made its Latin quarter her first performing stage.
Peyroux won Best International Jazz Artist at the BBC Jazz Awards in 2007. She has spent much of her career on the road, perfecting the live-performing skills she cultivated as a teenager busking in Paris. Thirty years later, Peyroux is the proud curator of nine beguiling albums and an accomplished performer with sell out worldwide tours under her belt.
Madeleine Peyroux will be accompanied by opener Jill Sobule, who is best known for the 1995 single "I Kissed a Girl" , and "Supermodel" from the soundtrack of the 1995 film Clueless.
