250th Anniversary of the Presidio and its Pacifica Connection
Learn about the Presidio of San Francisco and its many connections to what is now the city of Pacifica. Here the stories of the Ohlones, the early explorers, solders and settlers who lived in both places. Steve Johnson, the Pacifica Historical Society's president and a National Park Service docent, will cover the 200 years of military history, its role in the 1906 earthquake and its conversion to a well-loved national park. 1 p.m. at the Pacifica Coastside Museum. No RSVP needed; donations to the non-profit PHS gratefully accepted.
